Website Revamp and Pricing Information

Over the past month we have begun renovating our website with more information and more system and barebone models as a major effort to improve our service. While the Supermicro range of products is vast and overly complicated we do our best in selecting the models that best fits the needs of the majority. We aim to provide a clear representation of all the standard models that we stock and support in New Zealand. If you have a requirement for a particular model that we do not stock - please let us know so that we can serve you better.
A frequently asked question is the difference between a fully built and tested server versus barebone and parts. Supermicro New Zealand offers both barebones and fully built and tested systems. For built up and tested servers we offer solutions through Compucon New Zealand, an official Supermicro system integrator. Systems from Compucon will offer good TCO and peace of mind as we provide a 2 year warranty (3 years option) and hardware-related support on all server solutions with time-tested experience and warranty spare parts in our office. Our team is ISO-9001 certified and we configure, build and test to required specifications in Albany, Auckland. Simply let us know what you are looking for by email and we will provide a quotation promptly by return email.
For these fully built systems our turn-around time is usually 72 hours as we thoroughly test all the components; this includes CPU, memory, RAID array, and disk stress and burn-in testing. We perform OS installations and simulate disk failures to ensure the RAID array is performing correctly (if Hardware RAID is included) before the complete systems are couriered to you, ready for installing your final applications and customizations if any.
Alternatively we also supply barebones and parts for those who prefer to assemble and test their own systems. Barebones and parts come with 1 year RTB warranty only. We have a range of standard stock items to cover solutions to be built in 1U - 4U depending on your needs. We would support you better if your requirements can be met by our standard stocked items as we keep warranty spare parts locally. We consider this to be a major differentiating factor compared to our industry peers - we support you by enabling a quicker turn-around time should there be any hardware failure out in the field.
